Before you go
- Bring your own tools: a socket set, wrenches, screwdrivers, a pry bar and a battery impact driver cover most jobs.
- Wear closed-toe boots and work gloves, and bring water. Most rows are dirt or gravel.
- Selling scrap? Expect to show a photo ID, sort copper, aluminum and steel to get the best price, and call for today's prices.
- Call ahead to confirm hours and that they have what you need before you drive out.
