What this site is
Junkyard Navigator is a free directory of 1,941 junkyards, salvage yards, u-pull-it yards and scrap yards in 23 US metro areas. Each listing shows hours, phone, location and the details people usually have to call around for: whether you pull the part yourself, whether there's an entry fee, whether the yard buys junk cars or scrap metal, and what customers say about it.
Where the information comes from
- Public business listings. Names, addresses, phone numbers, hours, categories and star ratings come from public Google Maps business data.
- Customer reviews. Details like self-serve, admission fees, cash only and parts warranties are read from the wording of public customer reviews. Each detail on a yard page says where it came from, and anything based on a single review is marked as limited evidence.
- Yard owners and visitors. Anyone can send a correction from a yard's page. We check updates before they go on the site, usually by calling the phone number already on the listing.
We don't guess. If we don't know whether a yard charges admission or takes cards, the listing doesn't say either way. Hours and policies change, so call ahead before you drive out.
How listings are ordered
City pages list yards by number of Google reviews, most first, because a well-reviewed yard is usually the safest first call. You can re-sort by rating or name and filter by type, services, vehicles, city and weekend hours. Yards don't pay to be listed or to rank higher.
How we make money
Some pages include a clearly labeled offer to sell a junk car through a partner. If you use it, we may earn a commission at no cost to you. See our affiliate disclosure. Partners have no say in which yards we list or how we describe them.
Who runs it
Junkyard Navigator is run by Crisp Point Studio LLC, which also publishes other independent directories. Questions, corrections or a yard we're missing: contact us.
